We’re planning for the future. Some welcome rain lately means the break of the season is hopefully not too far away. We’ll be seeding our hay paddocks soon with ryegrass, clover and oats for winter feed. When the irrigation season closes next month, we will be relying on adequate rainfall to keep the grass growing.
Meanwhile, calving is still in full swing. We calve in autumn, and so far we have about 38 calves on the ground, with about 88 still due to be born in the next few months.
