4 T-bone steaks
4 T soy sauce
2 T grated fresh ginger
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 T sesame oil
1 small bunch of chives, finely chopped.
Mix all the marinade ingredients together in a shallow container.
Cover steaks with marinade and leave for 2 hours, minimum, or overnight in refrigerator.
Preheat barbecue to hot before adding steak.
Cook steak on first side until moisture first appears on the upper side. Turn once only (for rare and medium steaks). If you like your steak well done, turn a second time once moisture reappears. Reduce temperature and cook until steak is quite firm when pressed with tongs.
Once cooked to your liking, remove steak from heat and cover with alfoil. Allow to rest in a warm place for a few minutes before serving with a crunchy green salad.
